"agh..Lad I don't know where you've been, but I see you've won first prize"...LOL :D If anyone doesn't know what this is referring to, it's a song reference about a drunken Scottsman and 2 young lovely girls and their curouisity. I know the joke well, but I didnae fall asleep, nor did I get any pri...

The librarian, Rebecca Clemons, too bad we didn't get to see her in other episodes. That was one hot scene and poor TM, was so clueless. I would have like to see her character appear in other episodes as "The Hot Librarian." Well, give TM credit for eyeing her up and down briefly at the end (simila...

Watched it tonight as I've broken the seal on season 2. I really like the mix of diving, mystery, Island lore offset by the humour in Rick's 'mob' connections and of course the goat. Regarding the goat, I'm surprised that Higgins didn't want to adopt it because it remininded him of some regimental m...

I've got Scottish blood in me and I've worn a kilt before (regemential.. ) and even done that those udt shorts are a little short for my taste as well. LOL Regimental is the only way to go. Otherwise you could be up on charge (at least in the old country). I used to be in a unit that wore k...

Notice, however, in the outtake that the line is slightly different. In the outtake, Agatha says, "hot crust" (?). Actually, it's "hot cross buns." Where I'm from, we traditionally eat them at Easter. There's a cross on top of the bun that is probably supposed to be a reference to Christ's crucifix...

Here's the visual proof (and a test for my first image on this site). My cards are on the table. I think my hand is straightening. Read 'em and weep. Still missing the high cards 7 and 8. http://www.imagechicken.com/uploads/1251135652037359400.jpg And just a footnote to Golf and SL. Never, ever be s...

Re: My visit to Hawaii in 2005
I can't wait to go back... I wonder if there is anyway for a Canadian to move there to live and work... ;) Another Toronto company going under. I can relate. Nice pics. Anyway, to your question on Canucks living in paradise, let's try to rationalize a Green Card. First, the Hawaiian Kings never rel...

Further update to the cheap DVDs. I found another Walmart in Hamilton with lots of seasons 1, 3, and 5. I asked to see the vendor inventory list to see if they even had stocked seasons 7 and 8. The list only showed the first 6 seasons. Anyone in the area can pm me for directions. Doing the tour of ...

the correct spelling is motherlode , of course referring to the term that gold miners used when they discovered a particularly large amount of gold in one spot in a gold mine. :D Spoken like a true 49er. I stand corrected. Actually, Motherlode is a Canadian rock band. The gold vein, which was my me...

Thanks for pointing that out James. What a great thread. I hadn't found it yet. Golf really did find the Magnum Eldorado. Further update to the cheap DVDs. I made it three days before the heat and lack of proper toilet facilities sent me whinning like a little girl to a $300.00/night Hotel). Steve, did you know that every year Indians from all over North America descend on the area near Sturgis / Rapid City for sundance ceremonies? Fasting is part of ...

I like both versions as well, and was actually getting into the old theme as I watched the season one DVD set. Another thing I really like about the old opening (on the pilot at least) is the use of the Cross of Lorraine superimposed over the scenes. I don't know why they dropped it. I think Magnum ...

I not a big fan of this two parter and here's why: 1. I don't think Sharon Stone is all that hot. Check her out with no makeup in the passenger seat of the Porsche. A lot sexier women have graced the show IMHO. Stone can act though. (this is likely just me, because I also fail to see why guys fawn o...
