Yes, there was an Ivan in the reboot. He appeared in only one episode though. Season 2's "Day I Met the Devil." It was definitely a bigger budget/higher stakes episode than normal.

Weak episode. Icepick as a snitch? I'm not buying it. Plus, all the evidence Magnum and Carol found would be suppressed as it was gathered in an illegal search under the 4th Amendment. No convictions for anyone. I think the story lines were admirable, but the execution was ham handed and unbelievable.

I watched the syndicated version tonight and it was in color. About 10 minutes in, after lamenting that I had wished it was in B&W, I realized that all I needed to do was turn off the color filter on my monitor. Problem solved. I watched the remainder of the show in B&W.
