Re: The Love-For-Sale Boat (5.17)

None of the main characters were accepting human trafficking nor taking it lightly. They were all quite clear in their disapproval, and Higgins was "deprogramming" them after all.

Re: All For One (2) (5.16)

Funny how editing works out: Part 1 apparently came up short, hence the extended teaser and end credits.

THIS one probably has the shortest end credits of the series! ;)

Re: Compulsion (5.14)

Thanks! Just rewatched some of it myself. Yeah, TM looking at the Jeep the ranch people were in was the key. And finding out it was owned by the mail room guy. All adds up. :)

Re: Compulsion (5.14)

I gave it a 8.5, but would've given it a 8.25 if I could. :) I usually am annoyed by Carol but I almost even liked her in this one. Maybe because she wasn't being pushy and manipulative with TM. The creep was so obvious that I thought he had to be a red herring. But then I thought, what if he's a DO...

Re: Professor Jonathan Higgins (5.13)

I gave it a 7. I ended up liking it more than I thought I would from the teaser. This newb is still getting used to a ratings system with numbers running from 5 to 10. TM breaking back into the office, where he knows they are trigger-happy... pretty careless. Sure, he risks his life all the time, bu...

Re: US Blu-ray release of the complete series, March 22nd, 2022

Folks on the blu-ray.com forums are saying they used the same early 2000s masters as they've been using for everything since that time, from streaming to the DVDs. Shame. That means all the same problems. And, just like with the DVD set, what do packaging designers have against using the established...

Re: Luther Gillis: File #001 (5.10)

I'm not a fan of Luther, but I'll give this one faint praise that of all his episodes I minded this one the least. Magnum is barely in it, he's only seen in three sets and not on location at all. They probably shot all those in one day, affording Selleck a few days off. Weak resolution to the Higgin...

Re: Kiss of the Sabre (5.11)

I rate it a 7, because while the real-world stuff is not very good, I had a lot of fun with the fantasy portions. Yes, they're hokey, but that was the point. I'm not going to hold it against Yates, but I do hate Betty. I can't stand pushy characters, especially when they agree not to be and then rep...

Re: GMC Jimmy

(This seemed to be the most recent dedicated thread on the car, but if board practice prefers not to bump older threads please let me know.) I was just watching Kiss of the Sabre, where Thomas has to rent a car because Betty is using the Ferrari. I wondered why he didn't just use the Jimmy (other th...
