#3 could change...1 and 2 are pretty solid.

Yuck. This and the other Carol Burnett episode are the worst. I like Carol Burnett in her element, but this is awful...other than the Higgins meditation weekend side-story, this one is hard to watch. I think she was a neighbor of TS's in Hawaii...and suppose they are good friends, but the over-actin...

Dobie, great synopsis...I watched the show this week, but never saw the deeper meanings of the different storylines until reading your post. Excellent and spot on. BTW, I agree with what others have posted this is a very good show...can't really compare with 1980's Magnum and may have been a mistake...

There is a guy on the Magnum PI Facebook page that posted pictures from 1982 when he snuck into the soundstage at 2:00 a.m. and took pictures of himself in the guest house, main house staircase and the Ferrari. Awesome period pictures...

I laughed at the mustache bit...you are right they should have sprinkled this kind of humor in the series...make a little fun of themselves.
