Much like PhatCat I was a bit too young (born in 1979) to watch Magnum during its original TV run but in JH/HS I started watching the reruns religiously. For me this show still holds up years later. I think most of the episodes are smarter, funnier and better written than some of this stuff on TV to...

I've seen a few post for Gerard Butler as TM. How about this wild bunch for TC, TM & Rick?

I'm think these came from that old show hosted by Dick Clark and Ed McMahon, "TV's Bloopers and Practical Jokes". I say this because of the canned studio audience laugh track that was playing during the vid.

I think Smaller Than Life was one of the worst. I don't know what was worse, the spy vs little person spy kung fu fight or the bad Ronald Reagan impersonator on the phone with Rick.
I give it a cheese factor of 9.

I saw We Are Marshall as well but I was distracted by McConaughey's accent and delivery. He seemed to be doing an impression of G.W. Bush. I've yet to see a film of his where he doesn't have a Texas accent. Sometimes he plays it up more than others, but it’s still there none-the-less. I’m not happy ...

I think the film would simply use the military background as a rationale for Magnum's friendships and abilities. I don't see any reason for the film to dive into the subject of adjusting to life after war.

The casting of McConaughey raises a question with me about Magnum's background. He has a Texas accent so will Magnum be from Texas? Magnum was from Virginia but Selleck was orignally from Michigan and was natually a Detroit Tigers fan, so Magnum was a Tigers fan. It's well known among sports fans th...

I shiver at the thought of McGonaugy portraying my beloved Thomas Sullivan Magnum but what could I expect from the director of Dodgeball. At least he didn't cast Ben Stiller! Oh, by the way, did you notice that McConaughey, Zahn and Macey were all in that terrible movie Sahara? I'm sure adding the g...

It seems Selleck has moved on. He's found success with the Jesse Stone TV films and probably doesn't want to go back to the Magnum role if possible. I was thinking the other day that I would like to see him and Sam Elliott do another Western together. They did The Sacketts and The Shadow Riders back...

Good one Walt! Maybe Keith Richards should have done a cameo, we all know his affinity for climbing trees in tropical locations..

I'm still holding out hope of a TV movie because of the success CBS has had with Selleck's Jessie Stone movies but I have read that the major networks have all but dropped TV movies for good. However, IMDB does shows another Jessie Stone movie in the works, so who knows, maybe we will see our favori...

I agree but I also don't think a studio would green light a feature film with a 62 year old Tom Selleck reprising a role last seen 19 years ago. It could work as a series of television movies, which we've seen Selleck flourish in recently. The Jesse Stone movies, his TNT westerns; Last Stand at Sabe...

Clooney would be my pick. Even though he's been voted "The Sexiest Man Alive" I still feel he possesses the self deprecating style as Selleck. Vaughn doesn’t come off as macho enough to portray a former Naval Intelligence office, i.e. SEAL and McConaughey annoys me.
