I half expected the Jesse Stone movie to air during the November sweeps month, since they always air during a sweeps month, but obviously that's not happening. If they follow the pattern of airing during sweeps months, the next sweeps month is February. And the next one after that is May.

I think there's more truth than humor in that news article. Leading men have certainly gotten a lot more "weenier". It's not just that they don't sport a strong mustache, it's that they don't sport a strong presence, either.

Burn Notice is FANTASTIC good fun. You won't regret wasting any DVR space for it. It's also the kind of show that you AND your spouse can both enjoy. It's clever, well written, has great characters, and every episode features plenty of action. You might even try renting the two previous seasons, jus...

There are two ways to look at how an actor does his/her work. One is that they "become" the character that they are playing, and the other is that they play themselves AS that character. Spencer Tracy would become the character that he played, while Clark Gable played Clark Gable playing as the char...

Vintage Brewers hats, from when they were in the American League, were a lighter blue. (I have one myself.) http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/7/73/BrewersAltLogo.png In 1994 they changed their colors to navy blue, white, and gold. Their "away game" hats are navy with a green bill . http://upl...

Sorry Agatha! CBS usually saves these for sweeps week because of the high ratings that they always get. Our TS stomped all over Dancing with the Stars last year, one of ABC's most popular shows! Very Happy But it would be GREAT if they did air No Remorse this fall...a dream come true for me! Yes, t...

Zap2it's Famous Mustaches

Get a load of Zap2it's Fifty Famous Mustaches. Our man Selleck doesn't show up until number 36 (and what's up with that, eh?). BUT....get a load of who's number 49 and 50!

I think it's only in hindsight that it is clear that Selleck could have done both projects. At the time, no one expected that the series would take so long to start filming. The producers of Magnum would've been as keen to protect their property by keeping their star as Spielberg would've been keen ...

Er...I've seen the whole movie, and it's not bad. It's not great, either, but I found it reasonably easy to sit through. Jerry Reed got top billing, and Tom Selleck would've been the sidekick. At this time, Tom Selleck would've been a relative nobody, and Jerry Reed, having been in all those Smoky a...

My my my. I may just have to tune in to see him. Gosh, if anyone can carry off an appearance on such a show with grace and skill, it would be TS. I cringed when I heard he was appearing on Vegas, but he managed to look good on it, despite how stupid the rest of the show was. I don't mean to imply th...

Using the term "merry misfits" is the laziest sort of writing imaginable. The phrase has grown hoary with age. It could equally fit Monty Python, McHale's crew, the Not Ready For Prime Time Players, most of the staff at WKRP, or the law offices of Crane, Poole & Schmidt. However, it in no way adequa...

Actually, with careful shopping, you don't need a lot of money to have a nice, quality wardrobe. Even as a poor college student, I still owned a Bill Blass skirt, and a couple of pairs of high-end shoes. I had a quality winter wool coat, leather boots, and yes, I even managed to buy a prescription p...

Well, in way, yes. He may have started the club as a way to give something to the people, but that doesn't mean it would necessarily be free and open. You could nonetheless still require membership fees, but without in any other respect limiting membership. Unlike some of those fancy shmancy exclusi...

I, too, had a real fondness for Kinchloe on Hogan's Heroes. Cool, unflappable, and yet such a techno-geek. Didn't he always do the german speaking whenever Hogan needed someone who could speak it? Years later, Ivan Dixon appeared in Car Wash , a movie that I enjoyed, and thought was better than I wo...
