I'm sure there are shorter connections from others on here, but quickest to mind:

Jane Fonda was in Walk on the Wild Side with Laurence Harvey, who was in The Manchurian Candidate with Angela Lansbury.

Have we done Woody Strode yet?

Hi Chick, I will gladly give you my first born for solving The Case of the Missing Gunshot! Peter Gunn, Mannix and Luther Gillis couldn't have done better than the job you did on this caper, shamus. Mini Magnum should add you to the firm when Juliet Higgins and he start their joint PI gig next seas...

Re: Never Again ... Never Again (1.7)

Clearly, if this thread is any indication, the inclusion of potential Mossad in this episode worked too well. It's there for realism, sure, but like the character of Brigadier Ffolkes, it carries a lot more implications nowadays than perhaps even the writers intended. I almost forgot just how stron...

Excellent work K Hale! :D

I love how most places like this and Honolulu Airport look almost exactly the same as they did 30+ years ago.

Also, Jessica Walter's expression is gold.

Re: Blind Justice (5.7)

I appreciate Magnum for doing something different, but I didn't love the open ending. I'm glad Magnum called Mrs. Carrington out and that he ultimately kept his hands clean. I've realized the reason I hadn't revisited this episode since I first saw it was due to the lack of elaboration on the story ...

Not sure if this is on the DVD print, but the Blu-ray of this episode has this visible for a split second when Magnum asks "You're not angry anymore?". https://i.imgur.com/fTptqgW.jpg As someone with a Theatre diploma and acting classes under her belt, exercises like Margo's can be done today, but m...

Re: This Island Isn't Big Enough (6.16)

I too must have blocked out this episode since I had only seen it once before. I also misremembered it as a "Higgins being stranded" episode, having confused it with "Autumn Warrior". Katsumoto as a character is not the best fit here, given how episodes like "Under World" treated its plot with far l...

Re: Professor Jonathan Higgins (5.13)

I'll give credit to the writers for making Mrs. Finch a pretty reasonable person in the end (even if some of that was off-screen) regarding Sally and being sad for her when Timothy runs off.

Only thing I found weird about that movie was that Hillerman's character waited until the morning after Ryan O'Neal's hotel room burnt down to throw him out. If that were Higgins, he'd take no time whatsoever.

Higgins is hilarious in this episode, howling at "Honolulu Lulu's", taking pleasure in Magnum's training, walking off and telling one of his stories after Magnum turns around in the bike race, telling Magnum there's no way he can win the race after Magnum saves Roger. My aunt competed in the I...

Re: Dead Man's Channel (2.2)

To the best of my knowledge, the boat found at the beginning was Marion's father's, with Rick finding Prof. Martinez's later. I will say, the episode doesn't fully explain how Marion's father was killed, as he was initially said to have disappeared, and his body was never found. Did Martinez just ki...

Late to the party, but I had no idea this episode featured an early appearance by Artie Keanu and Big Sally!

The casting department definitely remembered their chemistry for later episodes, even though they're brother and sister here. :P
