Trackdown (1957)
One of our local stations (MeTV: Memorable Entertainment Television) is showing Trackdown, a western from the 50's starring one of my all-time favorite actors Robert Culp. I haven't watched yet, but I have it programmed on my DVR. I've been waiting about 30 years to see this series! http://www.metv....

Oh, I knew who it was. I just found some of the answer choices to be quite hysterical.KENJI wrote:Hi Mrs. H,Mrs. Higgins wrote:"Who was the forensic lab person that 5-0 dealt with?"

Re: Wave Goodbye (2.8)
I just watched this episode again tonight. I noticed an anomaly in the story. After Magnum escaped the set-up at the clearing on Maui, he made a comment to one of the cops: (I'm paraphrasing) "You two used to work the drug unit over there..." Now I don't understand why HPD officers would be working ...

John Ford docudrama "December 7th" on TCM
Right now I'm watching the 1943 John Ford docudrama "December 7th" on demand. There is extensive b/w video footage of Oahu from the 40's. Really cool stuff!

Re: Magnum's coffee maker
Those are / were the standard coffee makers in mid-price hotel rooms. Yes they were. I went on a lot of road trips with my folks in the 80's. I remember those coffee makers had 1-2 cup glass carafes with the slide out basket for the coffee filter. We occasionally got complimentary pouches of differ...

Re: Magnum's coffee maker
Speaking of Magnum and coffee makers... What the heck is he doing in The Treasure of Kalaniopu'u? Looks like he's making instant coffee in a single-cup coffee maker. Was that a production flub or did the humor go over my head? http://i610.photobucket.com/albums/tt190/CoyoteX1985/Snapshot_4_zpscfq2ek...

Re: Any Gunsmoke fans?
I recently discovered Gunsmoke thanks to an elderly client I care for. We spend 3 afternoons a week watching Gunsmoke, Wyatt Earp, Bat Masterson, Maverick, and Cheyenne. It really is quite a well written, well acted show. Unlike MASH, I enjoy the early episodes as well as the later ones. Funny thing...

Re: Magnum's coffee maker
After Hurricane Sandy, we had no power for 2 weeks. We did have gas, but we had to light the stove with a match and make coffee with our camping percolator...which only made 2 cups at a time. About a year later, I bought a 6 cup Corning percolator like we had when I was a kid: http://image0-rubylane...

MasterSON...or are we talking about John Masters, the author of Bhowani Junction? Great film by the way. TCM aired it earlier this summer.
