I just watched this episode again tonight. I noticed an anomaly in the story. After Magnum escaped the set-up at the clearing on Maui, he made a comment to one of the cops: (I'm paraphrasing) "You two used to work the drug unit over there..." I recently discovered Gunsmoke thanks to an elderly client I care for. We spend 3 afternoons a week watching Gunsmoke, Wyatt Earp, Bat Masterson, Maverick, and Cheyenne. It really is quite a well written, well acted show. Unlike MASH, I enjoy the early episodes as well as the later ones. Funny thing...
