I'd have been disappointed if someone hadn't put that on this list.

I love it. I will admit, it's one of the few shows that's been remade that I like, seems like there's more character development in the newer version.

What I've always found interesting is TV shows from the 1980's seem to have a stronger fan base in Europe, etc then the US based on posts I've seen. Not just Magnum but Miami Vice and others.
(I've lived in the US since age 7 so not sure I count even. )

The JAG team has to represent a member of Magnum's SEAL team. The fact the same creative team made both shows, I can easily imaging what could have been the best Magnum crossover.

Three seasons, I liked it when I was a kid so I snatched up Season 1 when it came out.

Imagine Magnum being an oil rich Texan who decides to solve crimes on a whim.

Liam Neeson-A IRA thug looking for Higgins. (He did have an early role like this on Miami Vice)

Boy George- A distant relative of Higgins who shows up.

Michael Ironsides- Magnum may be the only action show he hasn't played a bad guy on to my knowledge.
