Re: Tom Selleck Movies

Recently watched Ike: Countdown to D-Day (2004)

Not casting John Hillerman as Monty was a missed opportunity.

Re: Deja Vu (2) (6.2)

I found this to be the worst of the two-part episodes.

I still have questions about the plot. Maybe I missed something and someone has the answers.

Why was Geoffrey killed?

Who were they trying to assassinate at the end and why?

Re: Resolutions (2) (8.13)

The original ending in "Limbo" was much more powerful than this. But if the series had ended there, I would've missed out on some of the Season 8 episodes that I enjoyed like "Unfinished Business" and "Legend of the Lost Art." I've just completed watching all of the episodes in order for the first t...

Who is the more formidable antagonist in this episode, the Ripper or the IRS?

I was highly anticipating watching this episode and it didn't disappoint.

As far as parodies go, it was a very clever one.

Re: Unfinished Business (8.8)

Awesome episode.

Tom Selleck was actually scary in this one.

But wouldn't the car bombing orchestrated by Quong Ki derail the prisoner exchange?

The Joe Hatten character reminded me of Rodney Dangerfield.

Re: Pleasure Principle (8.2)

I cracked up when Magnum walked in on Higgins in the psychiatrist's office.

The only visual is of the office door and you hear Higgins say "Oh. My. GOD!"

Boy, that was funny. At first I thought he had walked in on Higgins in the middle of an actual session.

Re: Limbo (7.22)

This would've been a strong episode on which to end the series. And it was directed by Perry White, editor of the Daily Planet.

Was Edward Durant supposed to be a Frenchman or just an American guy living in France?

I'm depressed because there are only 12 more episodes to watch.

I liked Goldie Morris because she looked and acted like a young Jane Fonda.

I'm 180 degrees from Jane Fonda politically, but for some reason I like it when attractive women spout off on boutique liberal causes.

Re: I Never Wanted to Go to France, Anyway (6.12)

I liked this episode because it contained a mystery that I couldn't figure out until the big reveal. I assumed that the killer couldn't be the scary guy because I assumed the scary guy was an obvious red herring. And I thought his display of marksmanship was foreshadowing how the scary guy was going...

Re: Forty (7.17)

Is it just me or did it seem like Magnum was a little tough on the babe at the end? He was mad at her because she decided to get the scoop after all? Isn't that kind of her job? And isn't it even more commendable when reporters pursue dangerous stories? This might have something to do with the fact ...

Re: Paper War (7.8)

This episode really lived up to its reputation. Fantastic. I liked how twice the director focused on Magnum's gun for a quick second in the elevator to make it seem like Magnum and Higgins might shoot each other. I like how it is suggested that Higgins might be Robin Masters. I also like how it is n...
