Re: Quiz
The name. That was the other one I missed. I don't feel so bad now that I know I wasn't the only one.

I also got 33 out of 35. I missed the one about which island they live on. Forgot the first one I missed.

+1 for .38 Special. Doesn't necessarily make me think of Magnum PI, just a good band. Well, now it probably will make me think of the show.Mrs. Higgins wrote:
For some reason I think of Magnum PI when I hear Bob Seger or 38 Special.

KingKC wrote: A local radio station actually played the Hill Street theme song a few days ago That's not too surprising, it was a top-40 hit (got all the way up to #10). I had it on 45 (not the original but a "golden oldies" reissue). I'll have to check if I still do. Magnum's theme song was also a...

Mama's Family
I did a search but didn't find a thread about this show. Kinda surprising, as I think this was a very good show from the 80s, although it's questionable if it has aged well. A couple of days ago I caught the last half of this episode where Naomi was going to stewardess school (still called that in t...

Re: Is Jonathan Higgins Robin Masters?
We as viewers know it's impossible for "Higgy baby" to be Robin Masters (although some would argue that). My question is: is there anything in the course of the show that should make it obvious to Magnum that is impossible? If there is, then we'd have to conclude that Magnum was beginning to lose hi...

Re: The Larry Manetti Thread
Not sure if this has been mentioned, but I just saw Larry Manetti on an episode of Emergency! this past week. I'm pretty sure it was him. He was a captain or somebody important on a boat that caught fire or something.

Re: Stories they could have done
Hi SignGuyHPW, I think your show ideas would have been great, with the exception of a Dukes of Hazzard crossover. I liked the Dukes, but the shows were too different to crossover (while the Dukes of Hazzard was a good show, it was kind of silly). Also, the idea of John Hillerman playing the part of ...

Is it just me, or does Larry Manetti's wife say Jesse Sloan instead of "Stone" at the 0:57 mark?

I saw it some years ago. I give the movie a "B." I would have given it an "A-," but the female lead just got on my nerves, like fingernails on a chalkboard.

No reference to National Lampoons Vacation on trivia page
I was reading through the trivia page and I couldn't help but notice under the Cultural References section there is no reference to the movie Vacation (with Chevy Chase). If my memory serves me correctly, near the end of the movie Chase's character buys a B.B. gun and uses it to fool his way into th...

Re: Crossovers you wish had happened?
My answer to this would be: NONE! The two that were done were two too many for me. I didn't like either one. Well, that may be too harsh, they were okay I guess. I just don't care for crossovers. It's just a way for the networks to get the viewers of one of the shows to start watching the other.
