Here's another flub........... When Magnum and TC are speaking to Rick in the visitors room, Rick mentions that the food in the jail is better han what they had in Dac Huey but Rick was never in Dac Huey, only TC and Magnum (Did You See the Sunrise). Rick joined the team AFTER and he replaced Cookie...

This was a really great episode but I also liked it because I had a crush on Anne Lockhart  back in the day and also on Battlestar Galactica.

Another flub I spotted while looking at the Season 1 DVD this weekend. After dinner the Brigadier turns in for the night but is actually oustide in the grounds between the main house and the tennis courts. In the series, Magnum's quarters (the guest house) is supposedly on the otherside of the main ...

Rick marrying Cleo however does fit in with Rick's penchant for falling in love at a moments notice. Added to that, she is in a sense part of the underworld which Rick has always been close to. Perhaps Cleo was a working girl with a heart of gold?

Still, it was a surprise when Tanaka was written out of the series. Like so many of the other supporting cast, his character was great and brilliantly portrayed.

Does'nt it also look like the makeup he wore as the Lord High Executioner for the Mikado in "Let the Punishment Fit the Crime"?

This 1st episode in the series had just a little too much 70's kitsch for my liking, it took Magnum a few episodes to get with the 80's :D

The Anderson house is itself quite beautiful architecturally, especially looking out from the enclosed courtyard towards the tennis courts and the raised area overlooking the tidal pool. Perhaps the driveway area where the cars are parked near the front door could be better prepared. When it rains I...

Not sure if this a flub in the shooting but in the scenes where TC and Magnum are in TC's van they are driving along the sea so that the land is on TC's side and the sea on Magnum's side. However when there is a side shot looking directly at both TC and Magnum you can see the sea behind both of them!

Jeff MacKay

I never really liked him in Baa Baa Black Sheep but he was great in Magnum PI. He seemed much more suited for the character of Jim Bonnick rather than "Mac" MacReynolds.
