Now that I think about it, there is an episode where Higgins does drink beer: Luther Gillis: File #001 (5.10). When Luther and Higgins go into the Western bar, they both drink beer. Of course Higgins is under the guise of Elmo Ziller.

Operation Silent Night is one of my all time favorites and I actually remember seeing it when it first aired. I just love everything about it, from the lighthearted silly interactions with the characters, to the scenes that illustrate their true camaraderie, to the respect they show for the Japanes...

I don't recall Higgins ever consuming beer in the show. However, Don Luis Higgins and Magnum have a beer together in the guest house; Don Luis accepts the beer upon learning that Magnum doesn't have any sangria.

There were several rental cars used in The Love-for-Sale Boat (5.17) as he drives around California looking for "Mac". He gets a lemon with each car rental and then when back in Hawaii he doesn't rent a car but takes the whole bowl of lemons with him into the taxi.
