Re: Magnum P.I. - The Complete Series (DVD)
Hi Marlboro I have the earlier DVD version it included the Murder She Wrote episode as a bonus. It did not include the Simon and Simon crossover episode. My recollection is the end of Ki'i's Don't Lie gave no indication of TM & JHQ appearing on the next S&S. Shame ........ it would have been a nice ...

Re: Faith and Begorrah (3.23)
Hi John and welcome. I agree the episode showed great impartiality. I also forgive the dubious Fr. Paddy accent . John Hillerman's versatility was certainly in play. To deliver the accent and enunciate every word for the benefit of a world wide viewing audience is a challenge in itself. We did not h...

Re: Tom Selleck on Larry's Radio Show
It would indeed be a real treat to hear Larry interview John Hillerman.
Each time I re visit an MPI episode I realise even more how invaluable JH was to the show's success.

Wow Marboro !
Interesting revelation but disturbing visual of John Steed / Patrick MacNee dressed only in Bowler Hat and an umbrella. As a kid I loved the series "The Avengers". Honour Blackman was beautiful and obviously more discerning than Mr MacNee gave her credit for.

Re: The Case of the Red Faced Thespian (4.12)
For me the scene where JQH is intent on destroying the mongoose base camp is one of the funniest comedic moments in MPI. The first time I saw the ball strike him I had the belly laughs until it hurt. There are so many magic moments like this through out the series which is why we all love this serie...

Hi Styles and thanks for sharing.
This is one of the many reasons I love this site. Great interview. I was particularly happy to hear TS speak about IKE: COUNTDOWN TO D DAY. It was only last week I saw this for the first time and I was very impressed by his performance.

Hi Marlboro and welcome.
MPI was not the first time John Hillerman took on a dual role.
I saw Paper Moon again recently. He performed an excellant dual role in this film ..................
a bootlegger and the bootlegger's brother who was also the town Sherrif.

Absolutely the resemblance is undeniable. You have also reminded me Robert Pine was in C.H.I.P.S.

Hi Reefmonkey,
I did not know that. I liked him as the new Capt. Kirk in both the reboot movies. Looking forward to seeing him as Jack Ryan.

Re: Don't fancy Home from the sea. Anyone else agrees?
Interesting piece of trivia concerning this episide, Robert Pine who played Magnum's dad attended Ohio Wesleyan University. Tom Selleck's real life dad attended the same University. I like this episode because we get a look at a significent event in Magnum's childhood. Important in the overall devel...

Welcome Canada Jones.
This is a terrific site with great members.
Hopefully T.S. despite his Blue Bloods schedule and commitments will go on to make further Jesse Stone movies.

Hmmmmm indeed ............ a great subject matter.
I love both your selections guys.
I am thinking .....................
The Sixth Position ( Magnum to Kendall Chase ...... " You walk like a duck !" )
Luther Gillis: File # 521 ( duelling voice overs )
Paper War ( of course !)
