Re: Tom or Thomas?

My question doesn't ask what his mother or other people call him. It's what HE calls himself. How he introduces himself. I was just trying to see if someone could come up with the episode, where it changes from Tom to Thomas, that simple. My first name is Thomas. I'e been called Tommy, Tom, and Tho...

Re: Any Walking Dead fans here?

The mid season finale last night was wild!!! Hey Conch , My wife is a huge Walking Dead fan. Horror for me is Bela Legosi / Dracula ( 1931) and Boris Karloff / Frankenstein (1931) and while I digress I loved Peter Boyle "putting on the ritz" in the Mel Brooks version. I normally avoid horror films ...

Re: Try to Remember (2.15)

Higgins was being very paternal here towards Magnum through out the entire story while hiding his concern for Magnum's well being. The scene where he attempts to assist Magnum by hypnosis and discovers by chance Magnum took some vintage wine from the celler is hilarious. The way he teaches Magnum a ...

Re: 33 yrs and counting!

33 years ago tonight, Magnum PI made it's premiere! I watched it then, and I'll watch it today! who'd of thunk it! I watched one tonight too. Not realising it was the premiere anniveresary , until you said. I certainly do not feel 33 years older ...... back then I was 23 ........ and I am still enj...

Re: Hawaii Five-0 (2010)

Still waiting for the new season to kick off here .............. is it going to be C**p . I hope not ! PS, loved seeing Scott Caan and his dad James together in the same episode last season. As a kid the first time I saw James Cann was as " Mississippi" with John Wayne in " El Dorado* 1966. He was t...

Re: Tom Selleck reportedly makes $4.8 million per season

Hi and welcome , Nice research on the TS salary. Larry Manetti in his book " Aloha Magnum" writes : "One thing that was especially great about working with Tom was the fact that he appreciated his cast and crew as few stars do. In our fifth year, he had three Porsche 928s delivered as a surprise to ...

Re: Magnum on Encore Love Channel

Terry, Dia duit mo chomhbhaill tÉireannach. I was born and raised in Galway. I live in the Midwest U.S. now. I was watching Magnum when I first thought of leaving Ireland. I was thirteen and my grandad was in Merlin Park Hospital slowly dying. I was sitting next to him looking out the window. It wa...

Hi Pahonu.

That's very interesting and certainly puts some of those scenes involving Bogey's verbal putdowns of the young hoodlum Wilmer in a different light.

Re: Ghost Writer (2.12)

Elisha Cooke Jnr ( then 80 approx) features here in a role before he appeared as " Icepick".

I will always remember him as the young "gunsel" in The Maltese Falcon. "Bogey" slaps him around a bit. When he protests "Bogey" says "when I slap you , you'll take it and like it"......... classic.
