Re: Little Girl Who (7.7)

Another great episode and ending! So heart-touching and sad, but wonderfully acted, even by the little girl:

Re: The John Hillerman Thread

I am so disappointed that in the 30 or so years "Magnum, P.I." went off the air, there was never a reunion, and now there can never be a true reunion. I was especially disappointed when they rebooted "Hawaii Five-O" and they never got the "Magnum, P.I." cast together within the framework of that new...

Re: Going Home (6.7)

This episode was really poignant. We find out that Magnum had a half-brother and that he also served in Vietnam, just like TM, but Joey didn't make it. I think it just goes to show that there is still a lot we don't know about Magnum. Who knows what other stories have been left untold? And now with ...

Re: Torah, Torah, Torah (5.21)

This was a so-so episode for me. I rated it as average (7.0). One thing we know about the location of Robin's Nest: It must be about two miles from Diamond Head. Magnum says to the Rabbi that to walk back to the estate from where they were after driving out of Diamond Head tunnel, would be "more tha...

Re: Blind Justice (5.7)

I watched this episode again and noticed that the used car dealer, Willie K, was played by Dick Jensen, who was quite an entertainer here in Hawaii. Here he is performing on the Ed Sullivan Show https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Usfarvebv4A . At one time he opened for the Rolling Stones and also playe...

By the way, that is Joe Moore, who played in several episodes of Magnum,PI. He was the minister in the last episode.

Re: Fragments (5.6)

I watched this episode for the first time and thought it was just ok. For me, there was nothing really special or memorable about this episode, and nothing that significantly added to the Magnum mythos. However, there were a couple of interesting things that local people here in Hawaii would find no...

Re: ... By Its Cover (3.21)

Hi, guys! It's been a couple of years since I posted but thought I would comment after seeing this episode again after so many years. One of the things I liked about this episode is that it has a lot to do with friendship, as is a common theme in Magnum P.I. In the beginning, TM tries to do a favor ...

MaiTaiMan, I don't know the exact plot but I think basically, yes, a menacing organization wanted to use the dolphins to blow up the President in the ocean. Anyway, in that movie, the dolphins and humans actually talked to one another! If you want to see the final scene, it is here: http://www.youtu...

MaiTaiMan,

Not only was there a "Wonder Woman" episode with the same plot, but also there was a movie back in the 1970s -- "Day of the Dolphin" -- in which dolphins were kidnapped by an extremist group to use them to assassinate the President of the United States.
