Re: The Robin Masters Estate (Pahonu)
Typical local government incompetence. To hell with the "inspection", let's just tear this mother f***** down and bring in some more tax dollars!

Welcome! Take some pics of the destruction while you are there, however depressing it may be.

LOL Sam! 46 year age difference! More power to you, Jimmy! You still got it!
Still thinking about Pahonu and it's demise. This song wormed its way into my head. Everyone involved in its destruction is on a "Ship of Fools"! Lyrics by Robert Hunter, Music by Jerry Garcia...

Re: $$$$
When Old Yankee Stadium was torn down, pieces of live sod (sod!) were listed at $120! I know it's not in the same ballpark (pun intended) as a famous TV show home, but, you're right, they could have made some money auctioning off stuff they were taking to the dump! WTH!

Re: One More Summer (2.17)
Thanks ENSHealy! I've added the quote to the episode guide.
They did play Michigan in '67 though. The Mids won 26-21. But it was the 3rd game of the season. They were 5-4-1 that season, dropping games to William & Mary, Rice and Duke! Ouch!

Re: One More Summer (2.17)
Great observations there Ensign Healy ! But who is this John Cartwright that you speak of? Thomas S. Magnum was the QB of the Mids in '65, '66 and '67! And Dorsey Bramlett was his backup (even if he does look 10 years younger that him)! :) I totally agree, they missed an opportunity to name-drop Sta...

Re: The Now Playing Thread!
You are absolutely right, Sam ! He was an extremely successful, highly sought-after session guitarist in the 60's! And then he was briefly in The Yardbirds, just before, and after, Jeck Beck left. I'm sure you remember "White Summer" from Little Games (1967), which was frequently played as part of a...

Re: The Now Playing Thread!
I know. It's just a little odd. At first they seem horrified of the song he's singing (he's not really doing much in the beginning but singing softly and tapping the steering wheel). That kind of rubbed me the wrong way. I mean, come on... Who doesn't like that song? That song crosses generations an...
