I watched today film As Above, So Below with Perdita. And she was great. I see recently also a few clips from Titanic, Penny Dreadful, and The Muskeeters. And I do not have any worries about her acting. It all depends on writing a character.

Based on her fight scene in the trailer she would kick JQH's butt...so I guess she can call him whatever she wants.....hi-yah/kiai!!!

Maybe she did and then told her character was related to JQH, so she felt comfortable calling him John.
It will be interesting to see if they are going to make them related or not. I think if they go down the related road it could get tricky with blending the old with the new.....keep it simple - not related/never was a JQH for the reboot.

I like to think of any reboot as a different universe. In this universe Thomas Magnum is 6'3" and J.Q.H. is the majordomo, shorter and has a small, clipped moustache. In this new universe our J.Q.H. is muuuuch prettier. And Magnum appears to be the shorter one

I'm sure there's a universe where J.Q.H. is the dashing one, and Magnum is the more conservative, live by the rules, kinda fellow

Wonder what the reboot of this reboot will look like in another 30 years time

A reboot after this reboot ....you might give a few of the gang a coronary!
You're right with this reboot universe comment....lets hope they can act! I did like her fight scene, way better moves than old Jonathon. I'm wondering if Juliet will have Quayle as her middle name...they really haven't said other than Juliet Higgins. The new Thomas has Sullivan as his middle name (no brainer there) so I'm guessing she will have Quayle in there, but you never know. They might want a little more separation between Jonathon and her character so she might be just J.H.. Time will tell.

It will be interesting to note the similarities to the original series as well as the differences. Take the Team Ring. Veeeery similar yet slightly different once you look at it. Magnum's watch is a later version of the classic GMT style. I don't mind this new universe just so long as the spirit of the series is there. And that is going to take time to recognize. I do hope they take that time and cultivate those relationships.

Hi Kev,

Yes, noticed the slight differences in the ring etc. that you mentioned and you're right about hoping they take the time to cultivate those very important relationships as they were key to the original. None of us have seen anything other than a 3.5 minute trailer so way too early to shoot it down. It's not going to happen in a few episodes either, but after the first season they better have the chemistry working to some point....time will tell! Looking forward to discussing/dissecting each episode with the gang!

I found it interesting that her father is actually named Robin!
I'm sure that scored her a few fun points with Lenkov when trying out for the part.
Her birthday is on Dec. 25th Christmas Day which must've been tough as a kid when it came to birthday parties with her friends. I know one thing, her husband will never have an excuse for forgetting her birthday!
