I hope this hasn't already been asked.

Does anyone know if the Anderson Estate will be used for the movie? I have to wonder this considering how run down the place looks in some of the recent pictures I have seen.

Hey Jodykmg365,

We really don't know if it will or it won't. (Us diehards are hoping it'll get fixed up and will be used, but there's no verification from the studios if that'll be the case or not).

My pessimistic take is that its a no-go.

(I would settle for somewhat of a faithful reproduction though!)

Stone me now forumites!

I think I read somewhere when Brian Grazer's name became attached to the project that he either owned or had bought a fairly large chunk of property on the North Shore of Oahu, so I am thinking he would utilize that..I'm still hoping that spike headed wiener comes to his senses on the proper way to get this to the big screen!

I read that Eva's stepmother died last year. I am sure she isn't hurting for money, so I am surprised that she hasn't fixed that beautiful property up. If I was lucky enough to own it, it would be my prized possession. Of course, that is coming from someone who is a fan of the show and loves the property because of it.

I can't imagine having a property like that and not treating it like a jewel. Even if I weren't a Magnum fan I'd love to have that piece of property.

Hi guys,
I just read Brian Grazer is denying Matthew McConaughey was offered the role of Magnum.
Sounds like he is having a difficult time finding a new Thomas Magnum.
Maybe he should look at the original!!!!!
Maybe, Matthew McConaughey realized he could never fill TM's shoes.
There is still hope!! :)

I say TS or make it a no go! Let him have control of the script as well! Hey Sophia, where in Carolina are you?

Hi, IKWYT
I live in the coastal area of NC, and can you beleive it, it is snowing here.
Twice in one week, we don't usually see much snow.
Oh no, the sun is coming out.
It was nice while it lasted.

I'm in Chapel Hill. We had snow this morning, but it really didn't amount to much. It is rather odd to see any snow, no matter the amount, before Thanksgiving.

IKWYT,
It is odd, it makes you wonder what we might see later in the season.
I hope it is not more of this cold, cold weather.
I have already had enough.
Back to the Magnum pi movie.
The article I read this morning can be found at the following site.

Aceshowbiz.com

I found it under the movies.
This Grazer guy is a trip, the article irritated me so much I left two comments. I didn't check my spelling before I submited them and I spelled Selleck with an i.
Oh well, e or i, we all know for this movie to be a hit you need the original cast. I agree IKWYT TS has to have control of the script also.
I am sure he wouldn't consider doing it unless he had control of the project.
How long have you lived in Chapel Hill?
Nice talking with ya,
Sophia
No, I did not check my spelling.

We in California have been sweating our tails off so we'll be glad to trade you for the forest fires! (I personally would like to have something in between the cold, cold weather, and the sweltering temps!)

Hi, SL
How are you doing?
I'll take the sweltering weather, but I will pass on the forest fires.
Around here we usually don't have such cold temps and snow twice in one week. I can deal with the hot weather but the cold is not for me.
Are any of the fires near your home?
I thought I read yesterday that they were all under control.

Take care
sophia

I've been in Chapel Hill for four years now. I grew up in NC and have lived in a few places here.

I am doing well. TY for asking. Haven't been in the hospital since June 4th when I had my last heart attack. There are no fires near my home (thankfully!), and all the fires are out, I believe, or at least almost fully contained. But it was in the high 80's yesterday and today I walked around sleeveless, but it wasn't as hot. The reason I'm complaining about the weather is because my niece got married in July of this year, and I promised I would crochet her a king size blanket for a wedding gift. When it's this hot you CANNOT crochet anything bigger than a pot holder because it has to lay on your lap as it gets bigger! I thought I'd have it done by now, and I haven't even started it because the hot weather just won't let up! :x This hot weather thing happened when my other niece got married and she and her hubby broke up before I could get the dang thing finished!

I was at a picnick at "Robins Nest" last summer. The estate was looking better than in past years. EA told me that she had not been approached about using the her home for a magnum movie. I can't visualize a magnum movie any place else.

I can't imagine making a magnum movie without the original cast. With Hillermans failing health he could never do the part again (unless it was like Jim Backus in the last Gilligan movie). EA told me she couldn't imagine a Magum movie without Higggins. I must agree.

Lots of movies are pitched and fail, I hope this is one of them.
