Magnum on the move .

CBS will be moving Magnum to Friday nights this fall . It will still have the 9:00 time slot and Hawaii 5O will move to 8:00 .
Hawaii 5O at 8:00
Magnum PI at 900
Blue Bloods at 10:00
Macguyver is being held back for a mid season replacement show .

Hi Laohu,
Makes sense, it will introduce the Hawaii 5-0 fans to Magnum. Anyone who is happy to watch the current 5-0 will embrace Magnum. You can bet money
there will be cross over episodes.
Long term Magnum will offer a refuge for these viewers when the aging and out of ideas Hawaii 5-0 finally goes to that Big Luau in the Sky.
Then shift Scott Caan and his elevator shoes over to Magnum to cement the interest of the 5-0 fans. Jay will look like a giant next to Caan.
Maybe Caan could join Magnum and Higgins PI firm?

It has been reported that we will get a cross over or linked story between 50 and Magnum PI. Having The two shows together seems like a good move for the network . After all isn’t Friday tradionaly the casual day to ware your Hawaiian shirt .

I agree the more fans the better . The new cast have been very good ambassadors for the show

Interesting programming move. I stopped watching H50 somewhere in the 2nd or 3rd season and I've only caught Blue Bloods on occasion the past few seasons after watching them all for about 5 years, but I can see myself catching them more often if these are all sandwiched together.
One of the Blue Bloods characters should go on a vacation to Hawaii and get caught up in some mess. Danny could roast Danno for having that tan and then help out Katsumoto with some case. Crossovers galore!

Interesting, Friday night used to be the death slot, getting moved there from a better slot used to be a sign of impending cancellation, but I guess since so few people actually watch TV when it's broadcast, that's probably not the case anymore. H50 and Blue Bloods have been doing very well on that day, and putting MiniMag in between them should help his ratings, though those two shows are getting long in the tooth and have had viewership drop off the last few seasons, so it could also be that either MiniMag was sent there to try to boost them a little, or to die with them.
