Sneak Peeks from the episode:

From the sneak peeks it looks like this episode might be a little better, at least to me. I just wish they would get rid of that playful background music (heard in the end of the first clip). Reminds me too much of a Five-0 reboot. I like Five-0 reboot but i wish the feel would be different.

Thanks Karolis!
In the first link there is some Magnum eyebrow action going on plus we also find out the title of another one of Robin's novels WHITE KNIGHT RED DAY. Totally agree with you on the HFO background music - turf it!

Awful. So forced, so ham-handed. The writing is awful. I want it to be good, I really do, but it is not. I'm done. If, god forbid, it gets a season 2, maybe I'll check back and see if they pulled their heads out at some point.

Not to mention sitting through all the drug commercials is horrific. (No Cable/DVR, just over the air)

We find out in this episode that Robin's birthday is Aug 04th which happens to be the code to the Ferrari's new car alarm.
It was also revealed that Robin helped set up TC with his helicopter and Rick with a job at the club when they returned home from serving.

Is the wheelchair-bound veteran guy TC and Rick befriended going to be a recurring character? Now that he's come on board to work for TC? Or was this just a one-and-done subplot showing that our guys care?

I guess I will still be in the minority but I found this episode very good, especially the touching side story wherein Rick and T.C. encounter a disabled veteran and......well, I don't want to give anything away............

It looks like Higgins is becoming Magnum's sidekick and will replace Rick as the acquirer of needed information. And Rick and TC will become the "Bromance" factor for the show. I thought this episode was a little easier to follow as the scenes were developed a little better and the scene changes were less rapid. That may be a function of who is directing these episodes.

I liked this episode the most of all that we've got yet. And the flow of the episode was paced slower, which i really liked. I just still hope that they would change that playful background music from the Hawaii Five-0 style. As well, as make Rick and T.C. more involved in the cases. As much as i like Perdita, i want Rick and T.C. to play bigger roles.

My personal TOP so far:
1. Episode 6 - Death Is Only Temporary
2. Episode 2 - From The Head Down
3. Episode 5 - Sudden Death
4. Episode 3 - The Woman Who Never Died
5. Episode 4 - Six Paintings, One Frame
6. Episode 1 - I Saw The Sun Rise

I think your list is good. Your thoughts on the pacing and roles also reflect my own (especially the pacing and music). It's too bad the first episode was the weakest. It's not terribly representative of how the other episodes feel.

Is it me, or Victor in the beginning of the episode in Moscow, really looks like Cork Hubberts's (Waldo Norris in S04E03 Smaller Than Life) son?

Quick question - did the mission in Moscow at the beginning really happen or was that the story that Shiggins was reading to the kids?
