I'm voting for Ron Paul for President, and Sarah Palin for Vice President.

I agree. I have strong ideals and feelings, as I assume m st do, but i'm not sure this is the venue for their expression.

I agree with the others. Vote, but stop there. Keep your opinions to yourself. This is a great site that I would hate to see get mucked up by political arguing.

Well, she is a legitimate candidate.

I'm not saying she isn't a candidate...but I'll keep the rest of my thoughts regarding her to myself.

I voted too but agree to stop at that. I don't see any harm in seeing the results of the "secret voting."
Coops and grundle, Cynthia McKinney is from my area (Atlanta -- her district is in the general metropolitan area). I know about her so I think I can agree with your thoughts on her.

As a frenchman living in France, well, I can't vote ...
But I'm very interested in American elections and well, if I could have voted, well, very difficult choice to me. I would define myself as a traditional conservatist, so, I'm far away from both main candidates, well, the nearest to me seems to be Chuck Baldwin.
(with attorney Carol Baldwin for vice-president ?)
BTW, it's very interesting to watch John McCain on top of votes among Magnum fans with Tom Selleck officially supporting John McCain.
I think it's courageous from Tom to support a republican when 99% in Hollywood used to support the democrats.
The other big actor to support McCain is Chuck Norris, isn't he ?
But Selleck and Norris can do it because they're very famous.
Well, I can't imagine a new comer in Hollywood doing it without having problems for his career.
In France, this is the same situation. Almost only our very famous actor Gérard Depardieu supported neo-conservative Sarkozy against the socialists at the very last elections. No doubt more actors would have liked to support Sarkozy too but they would have had real problems to find roles in movies in the future.

Yes, Chuck Norris is a conservative. Here's a list of quite a few conservatives in Hollywood. They get work if they remain tight lipped about their politics.
Jon Voight
Bruce Willis
Dennis Miller
Sean Young
Shannen Dougherty
Stephen Baldwin
Rosanne Barr
Drew Carey
Mel Gibson
Lance Armstrong
Heather Locklear
Kelsey Grammer
James Woods
Adam Sandler

Rosanne Barr?

I never would have guessed that in a million years. you can also add Dennis Hopper, Dennis Leary, Fred Thompson and Bo Derek to the list.
