I can't believe we haven't had a conversation about the MCU in depth, but I guess we can go other places for that.
As many of you k ow, I am a comicbook fan going back to the 70s, and I have to say, I am TOTALLY jacked up about Avengers: Endgame. Here's the latest trailer . . .
I have seen it 3x since Thursday evening. Incredible movie.

I thought Infinity Wars was a better movie, but Endgame had more kickass moments. No doubt. I enjoyed both though.

I think what puts Endgame over the top for me was that it was pretty much The Return of the King of the MCU. Sure, there will be other movies to come, and I wouldn't be surprised to see Downey & Evans back as Tony and Steve in the future, but this closed the book on those characters and their story. Over the last 10 years, as a comicbook kid at heart, they brought these characters to life in a way I never thought possible and beyond that, made some of them the most popular movies of all time. I was excited like I hadn't been in decades to see the movies, to the point of making sure it was always opening or preview night and was totally caught up in the web they were weaving. Hat's off to Kevin Feige and those who gave him the flexibility to bring this universe to life and special mention to Jon Favreau who fought for Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark since day one. I can't imagine the series being what it is without his performance.
One of the best parts of Blu-Ray was being able to see this . . . brought a tear to my eye seeing this tribute to Stan.
