Why I was MIA for the last two weeks.

If you hadn't noticed, I was absent from the forum for the last two weeks. I had another heart attack on 1-06-2009 and had open heart surgery on 1-14-09. I won't bore you guys with all the gory details, but I just came home from the hospital this past Monday and it's good to be home and somewhat normal again! After two weeks in the hospital (1 week in ICU), with a bunch of tests and a blood transfusion I am feeling as well as can be expected. I see my heart surgeon this coming Monday to get the staples removed from my chest. I can't drive for another 3 weeks so I must depend on my son to take me to doctor's appointments. It was nice to sit here and read all the posts I missed in the last two weeks! :D

Take care SL and glad to hear your feeling as well as can be expected.
I noticed you've been absent and found it odd that your last post was on the 5th.
Thanks for checking in.

Take care and follow the Doc's orders.Return when you are ready.

Thanks, everyone for all the well-wishes and prayers! I appreciate it! I think this was a good thing and what I needed all along. Fortunately, I'm relatively young (or so my heart surgeon says!), so that's why I was up walking the next day after my surgery and got to go home only 5 days after. All things are going well, but I'm still taking pain killers as coughing and sneezing causes excruciating pain. This surgery will insure that I'll be around when I finally get some grandchildren! (All I have now is two Granddogs.) Again thanks everyone! :D

As you've suggested, I hope this turns out to be for the best.

Best wishes SL!

I echo the others' concern and well wishes SL, from what I have been told, and through personal experience, the key to speedy recovery from this or any surgery is to be active. I hope you're feeling well, and wish you a speedy recovery.

Sellecklover, get well soon. Here is a little advice for you:

Take one dose of TS (at least for 45 minutes) a day. But be very careful, don`t overdo it...
