Robin Masters in Limbo episode

I was just watching Limbo this morning. When Higgins is at Magnum's bedside he reminds TM that if he "leaves" he won't find out the truth about who Robin Masters is.

Were they originally going to reveal RM in that episode since at the time it was going to be the last?

My understanding is that they planned to reveal Orsen Wells as RM, but when he passed away in 1985, they obviously couldn't

I would've liked to seen a conclusion to the Robin Masters issue. That is one of the many things that fall short in Resolutions.

Higgins is not robin master 8)

The identity of Robin Masters [Amendment]
Do not you never know who is Robin Masters, although towards the end of last season Higgins is fun to take around Magnum and spectators to be supporting him Masters, and then, with ironic tone, claim to have lied about the Masters. To viewers understand what Higgins had lied: that is, if he had lied about Robin Masters or the fact of being Robin Masters. In that regard, Donald P. Belisario was delivered directly to journalists after a dinner with the cast of JAG, lawyers in uniform, he said that Robin Masters and Higgins are two separate individuals. [Without source]

Yes, but I would've liked to sen an apperance by Robin Masters. We know that through the episodes there is too much evidence to show that Higins is not Robin, but I would have liked for them to write a part for Robin into Resolutions.

Oh I knew that Robin was originally Orson Welles. I just thought they would make Robin turn out to be a series regular at the "end" of the show in Limbo.

I always thought it funny that Robin did not make an appearance or call on the telephone when Magnum was about the 'die'. They should have resolved the Robin issue one way or the other. Instead they left it in 'limbo' (sorry, I could not resist).

It should have been explained that Higgins actually wrote the novels and owned the property and Robin was his writing partner that edited the novels and served as the publicity hound so Higgins could enjoy his privacy. Oh well...

Peace.

I agree with Kwanzaa, about Robin being a decoy for Higgins, but in regards to Robin being a regular. I think part of the fun of living at the estate was Robin's absence. Kind of a "When the cat's away..." kind of thing. I don't know that some of the things that happened would have if Robin had been there. Like the unapproved parties, excursions into the wine cellar, just about everything that transpired in "Paper War", many of the arguments between Higgins and TM regarding estate property like the Ferrari, and the trading games for the hot tub and other privileges. Oh, and let's not forget the Hungarian Acrobats.
