I was born November 11, 1980. Exactly a month before Thomas first swam the tidal pool in the pilot.

Hi MAGNUMILWU,
To quote Rocket J. Squirrel, "Hokey Smokes Bullwinkle." The series still remains so fresh that one is rarely aware it is 38 years old, at least for me.
Just for the heck of it, here are some other things that happened on December 11:

308 - The Congress of Carnuntum: Attempting to keep peace within the Roman Empire, the leaders of the Tetrarchy declare Maxentius and
Licinius to be Augusti, while rival contender Constantine I is declared Caesar of Britain and Gaul. (Admittedly this is of interest only to
those few Magnum Mania members who hold Roman Empire citizenship)

1634 - Following pressure from Anglican bishop John Atherton, the Irish House of Commons passes "An Act for the Punishment for the Vice of Buggery".
(Who knew it was a crime when I killed some flies when I was in Dublin)

1880 - Australian Bush Ranger and outlaw Ned Kelly is hanged at Melbourne Gaol (my friend Melody still bristles at the "Poms" for this one)

1940 - British Fleet Air Arm attack destroys half of Italian fleet at Taranto(this significant and criminally overlooked moment in military history inspired
the Japanese to do a copycat attack on Pearl Harbor)

"If a mirror reverses me from left to right how come it doesn't reverse me from top to bottom?"
