Anything about family backgrounds of characters?

As is the case with most of these types of shows, the characters are single and no reference is made to family background. Since I am only in season 2 of Magnum, do any episodes mention anything about the family background and upbringing of Thomas, or for that matter of Higgins, TC or Rick?

Yes, you will find out something about all of them. More for Magnum and Higgins than the other guys.
