Magnum Mania!

I'm a fan of this comedy troupe, and they do a bunch of different podcasts. One of them is Magnum Rewatch, where two people - a long time fan and someone who never watched it much, if at all - goes through every episode of MPI. They talk about the plot of each episode, give tons of trivia about actors and various things going on in the story (various 80's trends, Hawaiian culture, etc.), and rate them (well, most) out of ten. They also keep some fun counters going throughout, such as the "That's racist!", "Consequence free murder", and "Breaking the 4th wall" counters. It's a lot of fun and has gotten a bunch of people, including myself, watching MPI. Check it out, or show it to a friend who might be interested.

Anyway: If you are interested, there is a mobile podcast feed, but it is a LoadingReadyRun aggregate feed. That means you would get their Magic: The Gathering, YA novel, and personal opinion podcasts, as well as this one. Only subscribe to that feed if you like the personalities displayed. Cheers.

I just listened to the latest podcast. It is two comedians who basically review a specific episode. The episode they reviewed this time was "Wave Goodbye". It was actually quite entertaining. The comedy was a little forced IMO, but it is cool to hear the episode breakdown.

One interesting note, at eh end of the podcast they rate the episode. In this particular podcast when they rated the episode, they compared it to Magnum Mania's rating! Seems like we may be the benchmark!

I just started listening to these, its a nice way to hear reviews of the show in this manner.

Also, these 2 live very close to me on Vancouver Island and frequent Vancouver often. I will contact them soon to see when they will continue this podcast and to say hello.

Doesn't look like they've picked these up again yet, but still plenty to listen to...

I found at least one podcast other when downloading MRP from itunes this morning. It's called Magnumcast. It appears to be a similar episode review format although I haven't listened to either yet. This one is definitely current though. The guys just did episode 25 3 days ago.
