In the movie Casablanca when Victor Lazslo and Ilsa are contacted by a mister Berger in Rick's Cafe Americain and he offers to sell them a ring.

Berger shows them the ring (drum roll); it is the Cross of Lorraine.

Victor declines, showing that he already has such a ring.

I fi remember correctly the cross was hidden and you had to openthe top like a pocket watch to see the cross. I thought it was a cool design but have never seen one in person

I always liked the way Casablanca was weaved into the Magnum mythos. I think it lends weight to the series.

Also, maybe because Casablanca is one of my all time favorite movies (granted, viewed, and appreciated, after Magnum went off the air).

I think Casablanca is one of the best films ever made. no special effects just a good story and actors. I am tired of all the movies now that are just vehicles for special effects and the latest cgi nonsense.

I agree, I don't like movies made for video games, nor do I like movies that are based on a video game either

You know, I saw Casablanca on TCM the other night for the VERY FIRST TIME!

I was floored when the ring was shown - had no idea. Loved the whole concept; how the show was entwined. Hope to watch it again soon.
