Sadly one week after Magnum P.I. ended, N4943T crashed into the drainage ditch 13, May 1988, seriously injuring Magnum pilot, Steve Kux.

N1095A is still flying today, with Air 2.
Its airworthiness certificate is good until June 2021.
Today an airplane has its old registration number, N1095A!
But the truth is it was simply sold, and the new owners changed its registration number.

As a matter of fact N1095A has had six different registration numbers over the years, in addition to its original N1095A.
N1095A is now registered as N717MA.
It is being used by AIR 2, to do powerline repair/work.

All Hughes MD500's are designed with the window above the rear passenger door. However, this window often leaks; therefore a lot of owners opt to replace the plexiglass window with a piece of sheet metal.

Also. During filming of “Birds of a Feather” for filming aerial sequences, in California, of the bi-plane, N58428 May have been used as a camera ship.
Therefore; N58428 has the notation “film work, Magnum P. I.” in its logbook, which had been miscontrued by a lot of people over the years.
N58428 which was owned by JetCopters in Van Nuys, California may have been used as a camera ship in other episodes.
Really some nice details about these birds, thanks Onehoff. :D

You talked about Jetcopter ownership. Is that the same company that operated one of Airwolf Bell 222 ?
