I agree...but I wish it could have gone on for 20 years with the high quality scripts -- not that nonsense that was done in the season 8!

Thanks for the *bump* JJ, missed the original post. That was hilarious, very cool - especially as it was done same time as the Magnum run.

Freakin' awesome! Thanks for the bump!

RU will always be Jake Spoon to me. I hold Lonesome Dove in the same regard as I do MPI.

PS, where's SelleckLover been lately?

Yes. Awesome bump. Time stamp is confusing -- exactly a year ago!

I love seeing stuff like this. Those are some top notch babes swooning over the big guy.

I'm HERE! :D I just haven't been posting lately because I've been really busy with church stuff. (Before Christmas I volunteered to sew a 25 foot high banner for the church...what was I thinking???!) Now that they know I can sew, I've been working steadily on projects for the Monsignor! Right now I'm making drapes for the Rectory...yikes! But I'm reading and enjoying everyone's posts! :D :D :D Keep up the good work!

Before Spencer and Magnum, when both TS and RU were 'unknowns' they were both in Bunco together in '77.

A reviewer said even together the couldnt pull it off. There was no way either of them were going anywhere in Hollywood and certainly neither of them would have their own show.

I hope he choked on his words....

I can see why the reviewer said that. They were cast as "pretty boys" in Bunco. Their characters were cardboard thin, but you were supposed to like them because they were just so gosh darn cute and funny. It's like a male version of Charlie's Angels except nether of the two leads had the gravitas of Kate Jackson. ;) Ok, It wasn't that bad, but it would be hard to go from Rockford, Mike hammer, or Cannon to this show.

Here's the bad guy:

He's an evil investment banker. Just kidding.

Personally, I've always had a weakness for "pretty boys" . . . . .

He looks like a cross between Gabe Kaplan and Kinky Friedman.

Yeah, except without Gabe's air of controlled menace.

He's like a cobra...ready to strike at any moment.

Another funny thing about the bad guy is that his stable of girls are nearly always dressed as 70s conservative suburban housewives. It's a bit odd. You don't see a lot of prostitutes dressed like Florence Henderson. Or... do you?
