The airfield was heavily renovated in early to mid 1980s (in the show a crane was even caught in the background of one shot). This former control tower seen in the show was soon after replaced by the new control tower seen in google earth, and a clue suggests it was built in the same location. If the marker is wrong, it probably isn't off by more than 50 yards." As mentioned, it turned out to be off by 50 yards and so I just squeaked by.
