Original Air Date: 12/1/1983
After he runs into - literally - Vietnam veteran and professional boxer Leon Platt, T.C. steps into the ring in order to win a boxing prize that will save the man and his daughter from destitution. Higgins summons Magnum back from a job in Detroit to help before T.C.'s sense of guilt knocks him out for good.

Love this episode. It's one of my favorites from Season Four.

T.C.'s all over this episode (something which should have been done more in the show) and gets to strut his stuff on the bare-knuckle fighting circuit! You get to see several great fight scenes here.

And what a cast this episode has - two ubiquitous Hollywood bruisers/tough guys Denny Miller and Donald Gibb, a young Shannon Doherty and real life Detroit Tigers stars Alan Trammell and Lou Whitaker!

There's also a great Higgins line in this episode: "You ran through a pen, striking Mr. Platt, who was chasing a pig?! It's so... Magnum-esque. The body has departed, but the spirit has remained behind to haunt me. Why?"

Very Happy

I'm sure it's just me, but did we ever learn the significance of those names?

TC is great, as usual. I like the line from the club where TS, Rick, and TC are talking. TC wants to borrow Magnum's Ferrari and Mag says, "What's wrong with the van?" TC replies, "It's not a Ferrari." Super bad!

That Charlie, the promoter was sleaze ball.

TC did some serious damage in the ring. Did anyone notice the bad ass he fights is Oger from Revenge of the Nerds?

Yeah. Donald Gibb also plays in "Eighth Part of the Village."

Donald Gibb is one of my favorite Hollywood "tough guys". Here's what he looks like today....

Wow . . . if they are casting for one of the trolls for The Hobbit movie, they better get their hands on him for either Bert, Tom or William.
