As one of my t-shirts says, "I like two teams, the Red Sox and anyone who beats the Yankees." Go Tigers!
I wouldn't mind seeing Milwakee go all the way, either.

I can picture T.M. celebrating with a Coops right about now!
The Yankee fans looked stunned that they lost.
Next up Texas!!

As much as I hate the Skankees, I hate seeing Jeter go down like that. If they had lost in regulation, he'd be playing tonight.
Go Tigers!

Yes I agree Jeter is a great player and it's a shame this happened!
He looked like he was hobbling the other night....I wonder if that contributed to his ankle being broken. One of the nice guys in the game that you hate to see out..even if it is against the Tigers!

With the Tigers in the World Series, the wife asked me a really good question: is Tom Selleck a real-life Detroit Tigers fan?

If true, is that why Thomas Magnum wore a Tigers ballcap in the series? Consider Magnum's bio. Why was he a fan of a midwest team when he grew up on the East Coast? Maybe someone can refresh us all on why the TM character wore the hat and/or was a fan.
Thanks!

Tom Selleck really is a Tigers fan and he really does love Al Kaline. Tom was born in Detroit. His family moved to LA when he was really young (late 40s, I think). Anyway, there were no MLB teams in California until the Dodgers moved to LA in 1958. So, his allegience stayed with Detroit. Magnum being a Tigers fan was totally his idea. I guess he wanted to wear the cap and show his support on the show.

I would love to see T.S. in a Tigers hat at one of the World Series games!

On the block where I grew up, you were either a Mickey Mantle or Willie Mays Fan! That's why I love the Yankees, and my brother is a S F Giants fan! I am also an American League fan, so I was rooting for the Tigers! The Tigers hit as bad against the Giants, as the Yankees did against the Tigers! But I still remember 1984, Detroit won the world series, and Magnum PI was my favorite show on TV!
