We don't know, but she's a beauty.

I like this episode, it holds up after numerous viewings. The plot is kind of far-fetched, but its enjoyable to watch which is what really matters. What I don't get though, is why hire a private investigator to play act. Why not hire an actor or a drama student from the university or community college? What's the connection between a PI (er, private investigator) and play acting? Oh well, its just a fictional show so I shouldn't ask so many questions.

They never explained a lot of why Windham would send guys with loaded guns that fired shots if he was simply looking to "scare" Magnum and his wife. It was also unexplained why the one sister wanted to murder her sister. I could only guess at there being mental illness. This was also not so much of a "case" as it was Magnum being wrapped up in some kind of play that he only half heartedly did which made it more bizarre.
The unmarried sister was actually in love with the rich old guy. She knew him before her sister did, and blamed her sister for "stealing" him from her.

Dumb plot. This was a "good" character for Judith Chapman who seems to be a renowned Soap Opera star. I really don't like either episode she was in. That being said, the whole "Mable Dodge" build up leads to a real classic ending. Love it!

I wonder if she might have been a real interior designer working in Hawaii, perhaps the designer of the home of somebody in the cast/crew.

It's funny that I watch a beautiful actress play a character who just wants to escape reality so that I can escape reality myself! I would love to play that game lol.

Definitely think I found a new flub. At about 13:00 TM says "I know what you’re thinking, after the phony beach attack I should have said goodbye to Louise and meant it. But you know something, I was starting to have a good time." The phony beach attack hasn't happened yet, it starts at about 19:00.

Someone mentioned a potential flub in beach locations when TM and the Black Orchid are talking on the beach after she rolls up in the Rolls. I don't think it can count as a flub. While they definitely aren't on the beach at the estate IRL, it is theoretically possible in the Magnuverse they had just walked beyond the tidal pool in either direction. I don't believe in the show we are ever shown the Shriners Club section of the beach. In theory they could be up there, or have gone past the sea wall to the south, depending on the tide. In one of the Michelle episodes, I believe it is implied that TC and Michelle have gone for a walk on that part of beach south of the estate.

I have to admit, I'm not a fan of this episode, the plot just requires too much suspension of disbelief and I think the Black Orchid's character is just too over the top. And I love Judith Chapman in Woman on the Beach, so it's definitely the writing, not the acting.

My favorite line is from Wyndom Jackson (and this is the only thing about his character I do like - although I'd take his limo too - the Caddy, not the Rolls):

I was just trying to scare you. I'm sorry they got carried away. Now, if that's not good enough for you, we
can fight. You're younger than I am and stronger maybe, so you'd probably win. But I'm richer than you
are, so in the end I'll beat you.

You can file that under "the truth hurts."

And last but not least, it wouldn't be a trip to the hospital without a page:

Hey, you missed a brief Higgins musing. He says something about the time he chaired the entertainment committee and Mrs Windom chaired the dance committee.

I actually pondered that for a bit, and then decided it was too recent to count as a "musing" and also probably doesn't count because it happened on the island? Musings need to have an "Empire" flair about them.

Although that would knock out the hotel he once ran, I think (was it Switzerland?)

Not much about this episode that I enjoy much.

Sorta annoys me actually. :P
Knocking my rubber chicken or my sloppy habits is within the rules, but you're attacking my character. I would like to think you don't mean that.

Kathryn Leigh Scott is still cutting an elegant figure and is as beautiful as ever at 75 in 2018’s A Rainy Day in New York. Leigh Scott has a small role as a “gala guest”; she even gets a line of dialogue.

Kathryn Leigh Scott is the striking, white-haired lady sitting on the arm of the sofa next to Timothée Chalamet:
