How about Tom Selleck as Magnum?
And James Walters as Robin Masters!

Then that would be 'Robin Masters as himself'...

Turn the W upside down, curl the L into an S and Walters becomes Masters.
I believe Robin has chosen the name James to honor one of his favorite writers, James Joyce.

You know it.

As much as I would have to vote for Gerard Butler as a fellow Scot. I would rather see no film being made in my lifetime rather than the film being made without the original cast

Dan: Nice name dropping of James Joyce!

Alexander J. Colvin: I'm a Scot and I highly agree with you! Nobody can replace the chemistry of Selleck, Mosley, Manetti and Hillerman!

They can reboot all the classic shows they want, but all or nothing for MPI!

I always wanted to see a remake of "GOOD TIMES" with Dave Chapelle as J.J.

Dave Chapelle would probably be a better JJ tjan Jimmie Walker himself. That is one remake I'd pay to see if he were in that role!

Can´t believe that Magnum P.I fans wants to see any others than the original cast in a possible movie. Tom Selleck IS Magnum, and NO ONE can replace John Hillerman. Rick, and TC could probably be replaced cause those characters don´t quite have the same depth. But all in all they can´t find a foursome with that strong chemistry together. I would say it´s a lot different with a show like A-team where every character are paperthin.

I say don´t ruin it! Don´t wreck the heritage.

I was thinking about Liev Schrieber as Magnum. He is 6'-3", one inch less than TS. But he is 43 years old, the approximate age of TS when the show wrapped. Hmmm. Probably need someone 34 or so if you're starting over.

So back to TS as Magnum, p.i. I suppose in the year 2010.

Watching the tv serie 'The Bridge' i thought instantly mexican actor Demian Bichir would fit perfectly physically and more important moodily, he has the same nonchalance and seems to be able to jump from comic situations to more dramatic ones. Only inconvenient he is already 50 years old (but looks little younger though).
