How about Jason Lee from "My Name is Earl"

He dressed up as him in an episode (which was pretty cool by the way), and you have to admit, looks good in this costume...

Although he could pass for a cross between Selleck and Bruce Campbell in this one!

Thanks for the pics...I heard about that but never saw it. My kids love the new Alvin and the Chipmunks movies and I've always seen a Bruce Campbell resemblence in Lee. Perhaps if they reboot the Evil Dead flicks he'd be a great Ash.

Jason Lee or Ben Stiller as Magnum. Because whatever Hollywood tries to put out as MPI, it's going to be a parody of itself. They're only going to make money on it if they please the fans. Its just like the Star Trek franchise.

There's certainly some truth in what you say. I can actually see an MPI movie being approved as a tongue in cheek spoof. I don't know if they have the guts to do a serious job of it.

I think if a movie is made it is going to be a spoof. I keep thinking of the Starskey and Hutch movie they made everytime I think of a Magnum movie. You would probably see pretty much the same thing.

Apparently, (read it last week Friday) Ashton Kutcher is going to be playing the part of Tom Magnum in the upcoming Magnum PI movie. George Clooney dropped out, and let Kutcher take the role b/c he likes the TV show. Here's the article:

There's been stories/rumours like this popping up on the 'net for years now. I won't believe any of it until I see an actual press conference.

I'm with you Styles. At the end of the article it stated that there might be a part for Demi Moore in the movie. I think she'd make a great "Digger" Doyle. I still think Jeffery Dean Morgan would make a much better Magnum than Kutcher would. JMHO!

How about Tom Selleck as Magnum?
And James Walters as Robin Masters!

Then that would be 'Robin Masters as himself'...

Turn the W upside down, curl the L into an S and Walters becomes Masters.
I believe Robin has chosen the name James to honor one of his favorite writers, James Joyce.

You know it.

As much as I would have to vote for Gerard Butler as a fellow Scot. I would rather see no film being made in my lifetime rather than the film being made without the original cast

Dan: Nice name dropping of James Joyce!

Alexander J. Colvin: I'm a Scot and I highly agree with you! Nobody can replace the chemistry of Selleck, Mosley, Manetti and Hillerman!

I agree guys. I think most of here want the original cast or nothing at all!
