Yes, I thought our hopes and ideas for a Magnum movie had been lost last night. I was flipping through the channels trying to find something to watch when I see George Clooney. I stopped, don't know why, I don't really like him. Maybe it's because someone thought he could be Magnum, oh what a joke. Then, what do I hear, is it a nightmare?
He is talking about his new movie he is going to film in Hawaii.
My heart beat really stopped for a moment, I was in shock.
Then I thought, no this can't be true, he wouldn't be going to Hawaii to
film Magnum PI. So I looked it up and thank goodness he is not doing a Magnum PI movie. He is filming some movie about a book titled "The Descendants". Out dream is still alive!

Though I believe they used the Elks/KKC location in the movie. They called it the "Outrigger Ocean Club", but the interior was essentially the same. The bar shape, the stone columns, and the room shape were anyway... I was not as sure about an outdoor scene they showed (GC chased his youngest daughter/character out the door and into a courtyard/patio area), but I believe it was still the location. Cool to see it still is recognizable.

The movie was pretty low and slow, but it had plenty of Hawaii in it.

That's funny you brought up that scene from The Descendants. I had seen the movie before but did not notice that scene. It was on the other day and I happen to catch that part. You are right-when he chases his daughter outside it looks exactly like " the club". Nice

Was going to post about this but searched if it was already discussed.

Amazing the ol’ KKC is exactly the same.
