How about a Luther Gillis Smiley?

#1 Post by Little Garwood »

I mentioned it back in another thread but I was wondering nice again what it would take to get a Luther smiley added to Magnum-Mania?

Hey LG,

I have no idea on how to create a new smiley.

Sorry, my friend.. maybe another forumite can show me how to do it.. but unfortunately real life is taking me away from Magnum Mania more and more lately.

I can do one over the Christmas break.
Who do I send it to?

I appreciate you making the effort to make one! I would say send it to either Doc or James, or both.

No worries- will do when I get a chance (which may be a few months- but I will do it).

Looking forward to it. I'm sure it'll be great (do not interpret that as pressure).

I started Luther a couple years ago and just got back to some final tweaks a few days ago. I'm definitely no graphic artist (or whatever you call someone who makes smileys) and I made Higgins :higgins: , however Luther was a bit more challenging. It's hard to capture their personality in a yellow circle with so few pixels! Anyway, here he is...any thoughts/suggestions?

Way to go RG!
Luther looks great......like you said..."It's hard to capture their personality in a yellow circle with so few pixels". I would submit him to Doc ASAP.
Thanks for taking the time to create him!

As the gent who requested said smiley, I commend you on your superb Luther rendition! Limited pixels or no, you managed to perfectly "get" the essence of Luther. Now if only the M-M powers that be will log on and take note of your fine work.

Thumbs WAY up for your fine effort.

Thanks to all!!! :D I submitted said smiley to Doc & JJ a few days ago, Doc responded right away & said he looks great, but reading back a few posts in this thread I'm thinking he's busy and hasn't had the chance to add him to the smiley gang yet.

Yes, real life and other distractions always seem to get in the way, don't they?
