Here is an oldie and probably the first detective show from Hawaii (note: it was filmed in California).

Interesting to see Sterling Mossman (The Hula Cop) and his Barefoot Bar Gang performed once on the show.

Cool, Kenji!

The "Hula Cop", Sterling Mossman, and Eve's father James Glover were apparently close friends. When Eve's mother died, Sterling's wife Virginia helped with the funeral plans. Even more interesting, James gave Sterling and his wife a house in Honolulu, and according to what I found, one of Sterling's sons (Kula) still lives there today. https://hauziz.com/location/56534639f7434ac93536445b

What's also interesting is that back in the Eve Glover thread I posted a pic of James when he was elected to the House of Representatives, and Kenji commented how much the guy in the front seat looks like Sterling...maybe it was him! Good (Hawaiian) eye, Kenji!!! Pic is HERE

Thanks RG!
I would put money on it that it's Sterling in that pic!

I found this interesting, Doug Grossman, who was on Hawaiian Eye, HFO and MPI is related to Sterling.....they are cousins.

This is a fun article about Doug and Hawaiian Eye - enjoy!

Awesome, fun detective show, and the first one to take place in Hawaii...although in reality it was mostly filmed on a sound stage in Hollywood. But watching, you’d never know! 77 Sunset Strip was first...and Hawaiian Eye was a spin-off. Then Surfside 6 was another spin-off. Fun characters and entertaining...I have and love watching all 3 of those shows! :D
