This season picks up right where it left off last year. Doesn't miss a beat.

I agree Styles!
The only thing I hate is the show feels like a half hour.....time just flys and you can't believe the episode is already over, leaving you craving for more.

Thanks for those Kenji. Maybe they can move to a more collaborative script writing process for the show, rather than waiting to adapt the novels.

I agree, the show feels like a half hour. Can't believe how quickly time passes.

Here is a good article for you Styles.

I can think of a few of the story lines that they could slow the pace down to buy more time, but due to the high production costs involved and a very short season they keep stuffing the episode with multiple stories. I'm not complaining as most episodes are excellent, but why not do two story lines in an episode instead of 3 or 4 to give George more time. HBO should be milking this series, so if they could get two more seasons, by dragging it out they should consider it......I know that I would watch. The real Game of Thrones is between HBO and King George....long live the King!

Makes sense. Would hate to be a writer and to feel pressure to produce like that!

Production costs must be huge on the show. They film all over the place. I was just in Essaouira, Morocco a few weeks ago, where they filmed the scenes where Khaleesi liberates the slaves in the walled city - amazing to see. They also film all over Europe and Iceland too, I hear. Major budget!

That is one show where you don't want to get writer's block.....a real pressure cooker!

It costs a bundle to produce this show........

Your trip to Morocco sounded like a fantastic time! Did you know that Orson Welles filmed Othello there? They even named a square after him.......

Did you find this square?
Did you make it to Casablanca?

I was finding this season a bit slow and stretched out until last night. Two great battles and a perfect ending for Lord Bolton.....too bad the season is almost over! I'm sure this season was slower than others due to more time being needed to finish the last few books.

Any thoughts on how this show will end on Sunday?
I'm guessing the Mother of Dragons will be no more after what she did in the last episode, either Jon or one of the two Stark girls will kill her. She has gone mad like her father. I found the last episode disappointing on a few levels.....hoping they nail the finale, but I'm thinking it will fall short of expectations.....still looking forward to it though!!!

Since the episode ended with Arya riding on a Pale Horse, I think it's she who puts down the Mad Queen.
