Boring shows today

#1 Post by Carmen »

Okay, I tried them all:

Spartacus, true blood, walking dead, Falling skies,Sanctuary, Game of Thrones....

More dead people (or creatures) in every single episode than in one season of MPI - nevertheless it all bores me very much. What happened to tv-series these days :?: :?

Thank you, but I think it`s not available in Germany right now.

BTW, while crying over the bad ones I forgot to mention one real good show IMO,
"In Plain sight" with with Mary McCormack and Frederick Weller

Dexter is another great one. Hopefully you'll be able to get Breaking Bad soon.

I'm not a fan of current most current TV. I like old shows the best.

I agree, TV shows today stink. The newest shows I liked were King of the Hill and CSI (the original one set in Las Vegas; I thought the others were average, at best). And Everybody Loves Raymond was okay.

Oh, things are never as good as you think they are, or as bad as you think they are. Lots of bad tv shows out there - so much dull formula. But, I have found some gems. My two cents. I found HBO's "True Detective" with McConaughey and Harrelson. I've also been kinda lukewarm on both actors - never really disliked either, but never really liked either so much at the same time. BUT MAN, I LOVED "TRUE DETECTIVE." It was dark, spooky and just cool story telling at the same time. And I was impressed that the show didn't devolve into unneeded gore. "True Detective" is the show from this year that I would recommend. Just got hypnotized by it.

I keep hearing this. Have to check it out.
