Happy Thanksgiving

#1 Post by ConchRepublican »

To all you turkeys out there!!!

While I'm thankful for many real sobering things, I am also thankful for Magnum PI, the show and all the creators, and this site. Magnum, as I have noted on other threads, helped me navigate some extremely difficult times in my life . . . while not real, the guidance of a "hero", like any found in literature, helps provide an example of character, usually an inner strength, innate goodness. Thomas is as good an example of a hero to me as there is.

Thanks to all of you fellow Maniacs for making this a fun and easy place on an increasingly turbulant and angry interwebs, and special thanks to Doc Ibold for caretaking the grounds and especially our Founding Father J.J. for creating this virtual estate to begin with.

I hope all celebrating enjoy a great day of good food and family time!!

It's just the wife and me this Thanksgiving, so it will be a great day. We are spending part of our Turkey Day watching the two Lance White episodes of The Rockford Files.

Agree completely with Conch on TM-as-heroic figure. I can also credit Magnum with helping me through some truly unpleasant times, but then I've always been a tougher-than-nails survivor. :D

Happy Turkey day to all of Magnumdom!

Goes without saying, I for one, (and I'm sure I speak for at least a few others.... ), am very thankful for this site, James, and all others who helped start and put it together, along with every member who happens in here, looking to share their love and enthusiasm for this show from the 80's.

How's that for a run-on sentence?

At any rate....Happy Thanksgiving to all here.

Son home from College, check......Turkey from Popeye's complete with cajun spices, check.....and most importantly (for moi) .....My beloved Vikings beat Detroit! I would have watched an episode or two of Magnum as well but Encore is having a Planes, Trains and Automobiles marathon which is okay as it is one of my favorite movies and a film I indirectly worked on in 1987....It is a happy day indeed :D
