I made a card out of this renku I wrote over the years and wanted to share it here but it didn't scan well so I'll leave you with the words:
Christmas renku ~
On a star filled night
One shone bright, God’s guiding light
above Bethlehem
Scared and alone they set out
Following their rulers law
To his home they came
Not a burden but a Gift
she carried within
From out of the East they rode
Kings, to bow, and bear witness
Among God's creatures
In a stable they made rest
Awaiting His birth
No proclamations were made
but the powerful did know
In a straw manger
In the simplest of places
Our Savior was born
