Johnny Damon

It looks like the Tigers are going to sign Johnny Damon. I wonder what TM would think about the deal? I think this could be a good pick up for Detroit.

I don't know what TM or TS thinks about it, but I think it's a load of crap.
Johnny Damon is one of my favorite players. I guess NY will get rid of Jorge Posada next.

I'd take Curtis Granderson over Johnny Damon any day.

I think they will miss Granderson as well, and from what I hear NY didn't get rid of Damon. Buster Olney says Damon wanted, I think , $18 million over two years. The Yankees wanted him but not for that price so Damon walked.

Isn't Johnny Damon getting a bit over the hill? Can he still be productive anymore? He never was a very good fielder anyway. JMHO.

He is probably nearing the end, but I think he can serve as a part time fielder and DH thanks to the American Leauge.

Johnny Damon will definitely be a full-time player, as he's been for the last, oh, 15 years. He'll probably be batting leadoff, too.

Don't get me wrong, Damon is still a great player. He's a better hitter than Granderson. I just think that Granderson right now is a better overall player, certainly in the speed and defense department. But Curtis has got some surprising pop in his bat for a guy his size.

It's funny, I thought that the Tigers and Yankees made a Granderson/Damon trade, but I see now that Granderson was traded to the Yankees in a different deal, and Damon came to the Tigers as a free agent!

Can't wait for the the baseball season to start! Should be an exciting season!

You made me laugh,MACattack.
New York is my team, GO YANKEES!
I just hate to see Damon leave, I like most of the guys on the team now.
I enjoy watching my team play, and I am not one who likes change.
Nothing stays the same in baseball, but I still watch the game every chance I get. I watched the pre-season games today.
Hey, I still miss Joe and Bernie Williams. :(

Go NY!
