Trip to Maui

#1 Post by Hawaii84 »

Just returned from my third trip to Hawaii......'84 on a senior trip and '94 on my honeymoon were the previous two. My wife and I went with our two boys and one of my brothers and his family this time. I did not want to come home (I never do!). First time on Maui......we have decided that we prefer Oahu or Kaui, not that we're complaining. It was my first trip after getting a Team Ring....that made it just a tad bit more special. Sharing it with our boys made it a whole lot more special. I'm ready to go back.

Any trip to Hawaii would be a sensory overload for me, although I just couldn't go without going to Oahu, and the MPI locations. I suppose if there was only one place I could visit among all the islands, the Anderson Estate tidal pool woould have to be it. Please, by all means share some more photos with us. The islands are beautiful, and it sounds like a great trip.
By the way, really good team ring. Is that from "A Lighter Side"? If so, it's nice to see it being worn. I thought from their pictures it was HUGE, but looks just right on your finger.

95A: Yes, the ring is from "A Lighter Side".....when I bought it in 2000, John was making two sizes...I bought the smaller one..it pretty much matched the dimensions of the plans Dave Romas drew up and offered on his website....the large just looked too big for my hands...Our next trip will be to Oahu.

SL: Thanks! Yes, she is....as an old football coach I like to say that I "outkicked" my coverage.

Awesome pics Hawaii84. Reminds me of how I really need to get back for a visit. I can still remember listening to the breaching whales from our balcony in the evenings on Maui. Such a beautiful part of the world!

Thanks for sharing.

Beautiful wife & family, man. Looks like a great trip. I told my wife someday we're going to see the islands. I think we'll leave our kids home though...
