Paul Verdier

Before coming to the United States, Paul Verdier was a member of the renowned Paris-based repertory companies of Jean-Louis Barrault / Madeleine Renaud and Nicolas Bataille.
In 1982 Paul Verdier founded (with wife Sonia Lloveras-Verdier) "Stages Theatre Center" in Hollywood, as a venue for bringing "the richness, flavor and variety of World Theatre to Los Angeles audiences" where he has directed many of the theatre's critically acclaimed productions, including Ionesco's Tales, Marguerite Duras' L'Amante Anglaise, and La BĂȘte.
Stage director, actor, and playwright, Verdier also had a number of guest parts in American television : TV series like Hart to Hart (where he plays a character called "Jean-Claude"), MacGyver, Santa Barbara, Wiseguy, Waikiki, Magnum PI, etc.. some movies like The Cincinnati Kid (1965), My Favorite Martian (1965), The Russians Are Coming, the Russians Are Coming (1966), The Rat Patrol (1967), The Thomas Crown Affair (1968)

He appeared in 2 Magnum episodes as Jean-Claude Fornier, the famous french detective :
"The Man from Marseilles" (1985-03-14), and "A.A.P.I." (1986-10-22), last one where Jean-Claude Fornier dies while speaking in front of an audience.
"The Man from Marseilles" episode is memorable for Magnum being forced to sing "Misty" in a karaoke bar while Jean-Claude being forced to sing "Sentimental Journey".
