Which single episode was best?

OK, no doubling up! Which SINGLE episode was best? I am putting everyone on the spot. Get off the fence and make a decision...

I will start by voting for Death and Taxes. It combined suspense, references to other episodes, a link to Vietnam that was never resolved, misdirection, and some pretty good investigation prowess on the part of our hero.

Who's next?

I'm taking this to mean the best non two-parter or two hour show.

Unfinished Business.

I still believe this would have been a better finale than "Resolutions." Though of course we wouldn't know that TM rejoined the Navy.

Now if someone votes for "Home from the Sea." We'll have the three best (IMHO). Of the two parters only "Did you see the Sunrise" ranks with these 3. Again IMHO.

Side note, 2-parters can count as one episode... but don't vote for things like "Murder 101 and From Moscow to Maui"...

If I can count two parters, I'd vote for Did You See the Sunrise then.

Cheerio.

This is tough!! I thought about it, discussed it with my son, still can`t make a decision. He btw. voted for "Operation silent night"
:?: :?:
 hmm, maybe "Little girl who" - but just for the Magnum/Lily scenes

No, can`t really tell.....could be "Don`t eat the snow..."

Carmen,

Operation Silent Night is one of my favorites also. Its a little campy but very enjoyable. Great interaction between the characters.

That's like asking me which atom of air that I breathe is my favorite. No way I could pick just one.

Have to go with Limbo. It made the most impression, of any episode, the first time I saw it. Got to the end of Season 7 on DVD last week and still remembered almost every bit of it!

This took some thought, but I am going to go with Death and Taxes.
I think this is the first episode TS produced and in my opinion took the series to the next level. I still have the search thru the alley with Mamma playing saved on my DVR. That entire sequence without TS uttering a single word, just facial expressions showed me what an incredible actor he was...........

Black on White encompasses the various elements that made the show great.

Hiho,

Great selection! I love this episode as well. What a use of misdirection. I thought Bebe was the MauMau until Magnum asked, "Where's Clutterbuck?" then it hit me.

This one also deals with the rigors of war. The WW2-era vets went through hell like the Vietnam vets (in some cases). No disrespect meant toward the Vietnam veterans. Only that WW2and post WW2 was its own unique hell for some.

I love the ruse of quarantine in the beginning. Its fun to see Higgins get set at a disadvantage. He is such a control freak!

My favorite is the Big Blow. I can't explain why, but I have watched this episode at least 50 times. Second best would be a Novel Connection.
