Very nicely done. I'm going to show my son, who is a Minecraft fan and will love this.

Incredible! I actually started something like this a long time ago while goofing around with my sons. I never got very far though - I can only imagine how much time it would have taken! Is there any way to share a world like this?

Here's the "world file" for this house.
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1vNPs1Y ... sp=sharing

It's in zip format, called "Planet Marion." I last saved the game right outside the guest house. I do not know if anyone who uses the file will start at this location or not. Might the game just deposit you at a random location?

You can place the unzipped folder in the Minecraft (java edition) "saves" folder, as indicated at
https://help.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/art ... es-stored-

I'd be curious to know if this works or not. I've never attempted to share a minecraft world before.

Also, if you use the compass to go to my spawn point (about a 2-minute walk), and then once you reach that point, head in the direction of the setting sun ("west") you will see another structure I built, a castle on a hill, which connects to another bunker via underwater tunnel.

Nice Job. I tried to help my daughter with the game once and I'm sure I wouldn't have the patience to even try something like this.

Fantastic. I managed to download and run it. Works perfectly. Thanks very much for sharing!

Great I'm glad someone is trying it out. I'm working on the main estate house now, but on a brand new map, in creative mode instead of survival mode, so that I can build faster.

That’s quite ambitious! Look forward to exploring. Be sure to refer to Pahonu’s sketch up. It’s probably the most accurate model out there.

Huh, did you unzip the file and place the folder into ~/Library/Application Support/Minecraft/saves/ ?

(The tilde ~ represents your home directory for your user. Your home folder. You may need to enable "Show Library Folder." You can do this by going to your home directory in a Finder window, then go to "View" in the menu, then "Show View Options" then check the "Show Library Folder" box.)

I use a Mac myself, btw. (for Minecraft and everything else.)

I used Minecraft version 1.15.2 by the way, if that matters.

(Also, you have to have a copy of the game Minecraft installed on your computer for it to work.)

Chris.

Hello, I've updated the Minecraft edition of the Robin Master Estate. Changes include:
1) The main house and guest house are now in the same "world."
2) I added the gate house.
3) Added a lot more landscaping, including palm trees.
4) Added the tidal pool.
5) Added the wall, extended the driveway.
6) Added the front gate entrance.
7) Added the tennis court.

Plus a few other odds and ends. I used Pahonu's floor plans for the main house and gate house (thanks!) And I found a floor plan of the guest house somewhere else on Google; I don't know who created that wonderfully illustrated map.

One-minute video clip of this model here:: https://youtu.be/hOoaTmM-cNM

As a bonus, there are three hidden treasures on the estate property. One is a treasure chest with gold, another is a chest with diamonds, and a third with flowers. Also hidden: Robin Masters' secret study. There are very subtle clues that might tip an observant person off as to where one of the treasures is buried. No item is hidden deeply -- all three are no more than two blocks deep. (If you need help, there's a hint under the last photo on this post.)

If you'd like to try it out, the downloadable world file is here:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1De0Gwr ... sp=sharing
It's in zip format, and was made using the Java edition of Minecraft, version 1.16.1.

You just place the folder into your "saves" folder at the path specified for your OS here:
https://help.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/art ... es-stored-
So for example, on my Mac, it's ~/Library/Application Support/minecraft/saves/Robin's Nest II/

The difficulty is set to "peaceful" by default but you can change it by typing "/difficulty easy" or "/difficulty normal" or "difficulty hard" to spice things up. Type "/difficulty peaceful" to make it peaceful again.

Wow, this is really awesome. I'll have to give it another try on my kids' Minecraft installs. Thanks!

Edited to add: Also, if you still have those floorplans for the gate house, please post them! :)

Thanks - lol, that's what I get for not checking the forums first.
