Did anybody else find Tom Selleck’s brief statement on John Hillerman’s passing a little underwhelming?

Maybe he has said more in other interviews that I haven’t read, but I had hoped for him to give a deeper tribute to the man himself or commented on the Magnum-Higgins dynamic as a central force in the show’s success. By all accounts they respected and enjoyed one another during the series run, so it just feels a little of a letdown. :|

It sounds like just excerpts from a brief interview. I wouldn't be too hard on him. ;-)

I thought it to be appropriate. He might have said a lot more but you know things are always edited.

'The Great Hildini' ?

Was this just a made up name?
I couldn't find any reference to what or who this was?

Nick's Fishmarket in Honolulu closed a few years ago too. I bet it was busy in the 1980s!
